Machine Shop Sales Associate


Position Description

 Altavian Inc. is hiring a Sales Associate to increase and manage sales for Altavian’s machine shop. It is important to note that this position will be responsible solely for the sales of our subsidiary machine shop, an entity that is separate from Altavian’s primary business of selling drones. In this position, the sales associate will:


  • Interact with machine shop customers, improve customer outreach, and increase sales revenue.

  • End-to-end management of the machine shop sales process including outreach, quoting, and delivery.

  • Work with production and shop workers to ensure the timely delivery and balance of workload.


Ideally, we are seeking a full-time Sales Associate to start work immediately. For part-time applicants, candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours a week.


  • Ability to be approved for security clearance

  • US Citizen (Export Control/ITAR/EAR)

  • 3+ years of sales experience in an engineering or mechanical field

  • An Associate’s degree or high school diploma

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • The ability to produce a sales quote

  • Initiative to increase the number of sales and successful deliveries


  • Experience and/or connections in the industrial sector of the state of Florida

  • Previous experience in a machine shop, or knowledge of mill/lathe/CNC usage

  • Extensive knowledge of parts, components, and machining

  • Willingness to engage in grassroot marketing efforts
